Be yourself and start your career here. Help us build a better Brockport! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Public Health Education. The person in this role will and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in any of the following: Public health education, community health, school health. Engage in department, School, and College service activities. Conduct and maintain an active program of scholarship. For best consideration, submit materials by Nov 25th, 2022. Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in public and community health education or related discipline (e.g., health promotion). ABD applicants will be considered; Candidates must complete their degree within six months of appointment.
Ability to teach public health education courses.
Ability to conduct independent research.
Demonstrated potential for increasing the diversity of the curriculum, student body or faculty through teaching/mentoring or research activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
College health education/public health experience. Experience with online teaching.
Experience in administration/committee management.
Experience in academic advisement.
Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES, MCHES).
Certified in Public Health (CPH).
Evidence of scholarly activity (e.g. peer reviewed research).
