Job SummaryThe Health Education Unit plays an integral role in meeting the University’s commitment towards health promotion. As part of the student health center, the unit provides a wide variety of Health Education programs and services to UIUC students. By practice, Health Educators at MHC are expected to utilize variety of settings to teach, advise, educate, counsel and mentor our student clients – when needed, serve as guest lecturers. The health education unit at MHC consists of health educators in the areas of sexuality, drugs/alcohol, fitness, nutrition, patient education, stress management, and cross-cultural health, under the direction of the Director of Health Education.
