Center for Health Education and Wellness

The Center for Health Education and Wellness within the Division of Student Life invites applications for the position of Assistant Director. This position will assist with the leadership of the department and will oversee the areas of alcohol and other drug prevention, relationship and sexual violence prevention, and the collegiate recovery program.

The Center for Health Education & Wellness (CHEW) strives to improve the health and well-being of our campus through evidence-informed strategies. We work to empower all Vols to make informed decisions about their well-being and adopt lasting healthy behaviors. Through advocacy and collaboration, we work to develop an environment that supports the community's decisions.

The Position:

Reporting to the Director of the Center, the primary purpose of the position is to assist in the leadership of health promotion practices that contribute to a supportive environment for success and positive health behaviors. Responsible for the development and application of population-level initiatives including prevention activities and health assessments; engagement and cultivation of partnerships to address the health needs of the campus community; and application and evaluation of theoretical frameworks and evidence-informed strategies that address individual and community health.
