To make an impact as a diabetes health educator for UF Health Shands, you will:
Deliver outlined curriculum topics for the Diabetes Self-Management Education Program.
Ensure overall curriculum quality for individual and group outpatient settings.
Provide diabetes education in both outpatient and inpatient settings as needed.
Support and promote diabetes awareness through participation in community outreach events.
To achieve excellence in this full-time role, we’re looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree, plus:
Must be a graduate of an approved health education (or similar) program.
CHES certification is required.
Preferably experienced in diabetes management with CDCES certification or eligibility.
