Provides input and works closely with community partners and department staff. This position requires expertise and experience in the various areas of focus (i.e. working with youth and adults in various sectors to include: schools, early learning, after- school, health care, community and workplace-planning, coordinating, evaluating and related programs). Work situations are varied and require strong organizational skills, communication and computer skills, database management, independent thinking, creativity, and discretion. Works with MHS departments and staff, as well as community partners and external organizations.Depending on assignment, the incumbent may be required to perform community educational activities on occasional nights and weekends.Minimum RequirementsFive (5) years experience in health education and/or public health or community outreach; experience with nutrition, physical activity, prevention programming, planning and evaluation or related experience. Experience in community outreach, working with youth and prevention - OR -Education/Licenses/CertificationsA Bachelor's degree in Health Education/Promotion or related field and two (2) years of experience in community outreach, program planning and evaluation
