The incumbent works under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist Supervisor, Chief, Community Health Education Unit. The HPS II performs highly complex tasks related to planning, implementing, and monitoring projects related to community participation, education, and capacity building of community-based organizations on a variety of strategic health priorities. Working with members of a team, the incumbent will develop and implement high-level education, community participation, and exposure reduction program activities related to air pollution, healthy housing, heavy metals exposure and other areas of impact and import to California communities with a disproportionate burden of environmental exposures and health disparities.
