Coordinates implementation of professional health educational activities, which may include program competencies, curriculum, and exams. Responsibilities include: Course Coordination:
Maintain and update course information and communications through the Learning Management System (Moodle/CLE) and other education databases including course records and files, enrollment, learning objectives, syllabi, course schedule.
Independently coordinate conferences, labs, exams, structured clinical exams, workshops and other teaching activities, following school's best practices for learner groups and active learning activities.
Coordinate with faculty to develop positive testing environments and best practices for assessment in both paper-based and computer-based formats.
Oversee inventory of course supplies and ordering of course supplies for labs and conferences.
Evaluate and present campus AV resources to faculty, coordinate classroom AV needs, and serve as a liaison to Educational Technology Services.
Coordinate, review, monitor, and prepare teaching materials, ensuring compliance with school's requirements and best practices.
In collaboration with Educational Technology Analyst, provide basic training for faculty on Online Learning Systems (CLE, , E*Value).
Collaborate with lecturers/guest speakers to ensure access to course materials; assess and ensure audio visual needs for lecturers/guest speakers are available; coordinate with Educational Technology Services to arrange appropriate technology for lecturers delivering content remotely.
Serves as point person for learners, which may include prospective health professions education program candidates; current health professions education learners; and all other stakeholders. Answers questions and disseminates program information. Assists health professions education learners with all program-related issues and questions with consultation with course directors and adminstration..
At the direction of program faculty and leadership, creates learner assessment documentation, including assessment tools and assessment strategies / timelines. Generates regular reports of individual and aggregate learner progress and assessment. Assessments
Supports faculty in exam preparation using the CLE and Examsoft systems.
Communicates with faculty regularly to provide ongoing course resource and exam support.
Coordinates the exam calendar each quarter to streamline exam preparation, exam reviews, remediation and make-up exams.
Communicates with the students regarding scheduling their exam reviews, remediation and make-up exams.
Triages all student support needs and directs them appropriately.
Creates reports related to course support requirements;
Prepares and posts all handouts, presentations, course schedules, syllabi, and memos and announcements in the CLE for school of Dentistry Clinical/Pre-clinical courses..
Interact with the CLE system to assure accuracy of student performance tracking data; make data corrections as needed;
Collect and publish grades using UCSF's online learning systems (CLE); analyze and prepare grade reports for faculty and teaching committees
Assists with a variety of projects to provide solutions to improve educational or administrative operations. May work with others to achieve project objectives including:
Participate in trainings and professional development activities to learn new technologies and systems
Provide support for activities and recommendations of the Educational Policy Committee, Experiential Education, Education Technology Committee.
Participate actively in staff and School of Dentistry meetings; represent Ed Tech and School of Dentistry at school and campus meetings as required.
Perform other duties as assigned in support for School of Dentistry programs and special events (e.g., onboarding Tech clinics and workshops orientation, white coat ceremony, graduation). Assists with a variety of projects to provide solutions to improve educational or administrative operations. May work with others to achieve project objectives.
