Princeton Day School seeks a School Health Educator to join the Princeton Day School Student Services team and work primarily with students in middle and upper school teaching the health and wellness curriculum during the school day. A key member of the student services team and health and wellness team, the Health Educator plays an integral role in all aspects of school life, providing both formal and informal programming for students, faculty, staff and families. This position is a full-time 10-month position that begins August 2021 for the entire academic year.
Teaching upper school health classes, primarily in the 10th
Teaching middle school health classes, from 5th -8th grade
Working cooperatively with other health educators in planning and implementing a comprehensive health and wellness program.
Establishing and maintaining standards of excellence for supervision and student engagement.
Collaborating with the Director of Wellness Services, the Student Support Team, Academic Deans to identify, plan and execute wellness specific programing.
Ensuring that the curriculum and lessons are designed to meet the needs of multiple levels of skill and a wide range of learners.
Flexibility working in a wide variety of settings and shared facilities.

An undergraduate degree in a health and wellness related discipline preferred. Health and Wellness teaching experience is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with faculty team members are of paramount importance.
Experience in lesson planning, program development for learners pk-12, adults and families
Passion and Energy to bring the already robust health and wellness curriculum at PDS into the next phase
Experience/training in SEL in schools
