Connelly School of the Holy Child is a Catholic, college preparatory school, committed to the intellectual, spiritual, artistic, physical, and social development of young women in grades 6 through 12. Utilizes advocacy and collaboration to promote student success, provide preventative services, integrate the counseling curriculum for the middle school, and respond to the identified student needs.
Collects and analyzes student data to inform and guide the development of a comprehensive school counseling program that is planned and intentional, includes student competencies, activities to achieve desired results, and specific suggestions as to program delivery based on conducting a yearly program audit.
Implements services through counseling curriculum, individual student planning and preventative and responsive services.
Focuses efforts on the mission of the school and widens the educational opportunities for every student to positive effect student achievement.
Identifies and addresses student concerns through positive problem-solving strategies.
Provides short term individual and group meetings.
Supports faculty and staff concerning academic and emotional concerns of their students.
Provides support to administrative team in implementing the schools mission and vision.
Conducts and/or facilitates parent education programs when appropriate.
Communicates necessary information with parents about their student when appropriate.
Participates in the school community events with other duties as assigned.
Committed to professional growth to enhance social emotional development of young women
Active commitment to enhancing a school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities.
Master’s Degree in school counseling and knowledge and experience implementing a Comprehensive School Counseling Model using the ASCA National Model.
