Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Middle School Counselor (part-time). The individual in this position will be accountable for:
· Offering counseling to Middle School students grades 5-8 · Providing referrals and coordinating treatment with outside providers · Consulting with families · Working closely with the Director of the Middle School and Director of Counseling, as well as participating in multi-disciplinary student-support teams · Communicating and coordinating with faculty, administrators and Health Center staff to provide support for students · Serving on the Health and Wellness Committee, as well as teaching Forum classes to students grades 5-8 · Participating in an on-call rotation to respond to student crises arising after school hours
This is a 10-month, part-time position, from late August through mid-June. Dana Hall seeks candidates who will contribute to and are committed to diversity and multicultural educational practices.
Candidates should have substantial experience counseling adolescent girls and demonstrated skillfulness in working successfully with teams of other professionals. Candidates with a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work, as well as experience working in a school setting, are preferred.
