Oak Hill Academy is seeking a boarding (day-shift) school nurse. This person would serve as the supervising nurse for the school nursing staff, and report to the Director of Student Affairs. This is a 10 month position following our school calendar year, and includes a four-week summer session.
The school nurse would be part of a staff responsible for the health and wellness of the student body. Duties include: arranging and distributing student medications, assessing and triaging student health, maintaining and documenting student medical records, coordinating student medical appointments, communicating student health needs with parents, and training faculty and staff on contemporary health issues and concerns. The day-shift hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and include on-call responsibilities every other weekend.
An RN license or better is preferred for the position. The Academy provides a cash salary, on-campus housing and meals (including for family), and benefits.
Additional Salary Information: Insurance, retirement, campus housing, and meals are offered in addition to cash salary.
