We are currently seeking a full-time physical education teacher to start in the fall of 2021. Strong candidates will have subject expertise in physical education and, ideally, at least two years of experience teaching and coaching at the middle or high school level. The position includes teaching sections of Lower School physical education, coaching two seasons, and supervising the School’s state-of-the-art fitness facility. The position may also involve organizational responsibilities, depending on the needs of the department or division. Teachers at Winsor typically advise a group of students and assume other supervisory duties as assigned. Candidates must have an authentic commitment to motivating girls in fitness and athletic skill-development both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. Preferably, candidates will have an interest in curriculum development across all eight grade levels at Winsor. A dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion work, an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life, and an interest in using a variety of pedagogical approaches in the classroom are essential. Compelling candidates will demonstrate ongoing professional development in their field and the ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process.
At least two year of teaching Middle or High School Physical Education.
