Job Title: Upper School Counselor
Division: Upper School
Reports to: Head of Upper School
Summary: King seeks an Upper School Counselor to work with adolescents ages 14-19, 20 hours per week.
Primary responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
Counseling students in a student-centered, inclusive, and solution-focused setting.
Supporting students and their families in prevention work.
Advising teachers on best practices for students who may need support for a range of mental health issues
Collegially collaborate with teachers and administrators within the Upper School.
Collaborate with the Director of Teaching and Learning when appropriate to ensure students are being fully supported and challenged.
Participate in all required meetings.
Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress as necessary.
