The LCSW is primarily responsible for providing therapeutic services to students and their families. This position reports to the Principal.
Must have working knowledge of HIPAA to ensure all sensitive student information is handled in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies and procedures .
Provides individual, family and group therapy as indicated by student's
Develops and oversees the completion of treatment on an individual, family and group Services include clinical assessment, service planning, individual, group, family and milieu therapies, counseling, case management, record keeping and service coordination.
Develops expertise in differential assessment, treatment readiness and change model, and motivational interviewing.
Documents and assesses the effectiveness of specific interventions toward meeting the objectives and goals of the treatment plan.
Documents all therapy and contacts with clients and other service
Maintains clients' clinical files in a timely and orderly
Provides crisis intervention as needed. Ensures documentation is completed.
Transports clients for therapeutic services when needed.
Prepares monthly progress notes, staffing reports, plans and discharge summaries.
Provides clinical supervision to staff and interns, if applicable
Provides oversight of skill groups
Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff and students at all time
Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to staff and students when needed.
Models and ensures all norms are upheld without

Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and supports
Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.
Complies with and implements Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/
Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with policies and process
Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement
Attends and participates in all required meetings.
Commits to attending all training and staff development classes in order to ensure sufficient hours of training on an annual basis.
Change may be required to work in excess of 40 hours and variable times to M-F , 7:30 to 4:00
Other duties as assigned, verbally or in written form to meet the needs of the program
Master’s or advanced degree in Social Work and completed six (6) semester hours of practicum in a school setting
ADE School Social Worker Certificate
Must meet the requirements to be an eligible driver. Must possess a current State Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week with the possibility of a varied schedule.
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to remain alert, observant, and physically able to respond appropriately to work situations or emergencies including, but not limited to, physical restraint of youth.
Regular attendance is essential.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves and others.

Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence (in English).
