The Lab School is seeking a full-time Social Worker for its Elementary Division (grades 1-4). The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and experience in working with elementary-aged students and knowledge of the challenges faced by students with learning differences. Candidates should be experienced and comfortable working closely with both teachers and parents. This role is well suited for a social worker who thrives in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, creative, and collaborative environment. Primary tasks include: student counseling and support; designing and teaching psychoeducational curricula; carrying small individual therapy caseload; consulting with staff; supporting the growth and success of existing school-wide social-emotional health initiatives; and presenting on mental health-related topics. Experience with Responsive Classroom, mindfulness practices, and social-emotional learning programs are a plus. MSW, LICSW (or equivalent licensure from another jurisdiction) and 2+ years of clinical experience with youth required. Lab School encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds.
