SUMMARY We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team of nursing professionals to work evenings, weekends and per diem schedules in our school health center. In this unique setting, Nurses are responsible to assess, identify and treat health disorders among students and provide instruction in the maintenance of good health, wellness and disease prevention. Decisions made by nursing require sound judgment and critical thinking skills. The nurse should demonstrate solid clinical skills and knowledge and be comfortable working independently; although the staffing structure is well supported by School Physicians and other RN’s. The part-time evening nurse will work every sixth weekend during the school year on a rotational basis. Job Responsibilities: • Provides care to students who seek assistance with health and wellness concerns. • Provides first aid care and medically prescribed services. • Maintains security of student medical information as well as school health supplies. • Documents all activities and procedures accurately and in a timely manner. • Serves as a resource person on health issues. • Provides follow-up evaluations on students as required. • Corresponding with the Dean of Students, Dorm Parents, Advisers, and Parents on identified health needs as well as other community members as needed in the student’s best interest .
Minimal one year nursing experience
Proficient with EMR documentation
