IJP is hiring for a half-time, grant-funded Community Health Educator 2 to provide rapid HIV testing, counseling, and HIV client referrals at Inova Emergency Departments in Fairfax and Alexandria. The Community Health Educator 2 must be a team player but be able to function independently most of the time. A successful candidate will have the flexible mindset needed to conduct testing in the fast-paced ED setting and the organizational skills needed to consistently and correctly document services. The CHE2 must possess the communication skills needed to liaise with colleagues and clients.
Training (HIV Prevention Counseling Series) and/or experience in rapid HIV testing preferred. Spanish fluency preferred.
