Salary Range: Dependent upon qualifications/experience
The Project Manager/Health Educator provides expertise in the implementation of symptom management and health behavior research using RedCap, RCA, and eHealth. The position will be responsible for interfacing with RedCap and RCA for recruitment, screening, data collection, and other intervention research functions. The position requires substantial independence, strong organizational skills, knowledge of the cancer patient and family caregiver population and how to navigate web-based intervention, conduct online meetings, and moderate online forum. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in research design, implementation of research procedures, data analysis and interpretation of results. The position will advise cancer prevention and control researchers affiliated with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center on how to conduct clinical research (e.g., managing symptoms, addressing healthy behaviors and family relationships) during post-treatment care transition, and how to navigate within and beyond the clinical setting.
Education and Experience:
Qualifications & Experience Requirements Clinical or research experience using RedCap and telephone surveys is required. Experience with using cancer registry for recruitment and research purposes is highly desirable. An interest in supportive care services for cancer patients is highly desirable. Experience with health informatics and health behavior research is also desirable.
This position requires a substantial capacity to work independently in a complex research environment. The candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The candidate must possess the ability to work in teams and independently. The candidate must be attentive to detail, organized, and able to seek advice when project data/protocol concerns arise. The candidate should also be comfortable working with diverse populations.
