Long Beach Memorial Medical Center is the largest facility in the MemorialCare Health System network and is a Magnet®-designated teaching hospital. The Lead Pediatric Perfusionist oversees the implementation of perfusion services for neonatal,pediatric, and adult patients with congenital herart disease including perfusion managment and oversight of neonatal and pediatric ECMO. The Lead Pediatric Perfusionist guides the pediatric perfusion service in: product investigation, quality control, education and training, performance improvement, communication and pediatric perfusion repsonsibilities.The Lead Pediatric Perfusionist reports to the Director of Long Beach Memorial Heart Instittue and provides input related to personnel, budget, consumable supplies and equipment selection necessary for the daily operationsof the pediatric cardiac surgery program.
