The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program offers concentrations in General and Vascular sonography. Our Program is offered by the Department of Biomedical Sciences (housed within the College of Health Sciences) and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
We seek a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to serve as Program Director for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. This position will meet the requirements for the Program Director as outlined by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) standards.
Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution granted by the date of hire
Current ARDMS credentials in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular Technology
Minimum of two (2) years full-time professional experience (at least 35 or more hours per week) in general/vascular sonography
Master’s degree or PhD
Additional professional credentials in sonography (breast, pediatric, adult echo, pediatric echo and/or fetal echo)
Evidence of experience with web based-instruction
Knowledge of JRC-DMS standards & guidelines
Evidence of proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and guidance
Evidence of proficiency in curriculum development
