Job Responsibilities: 1. Provide assistance in implementation of bullying prevention related procedures, programming, and related initiatives to parents, staff, and students. 2. Provide counseling and support to students following disciplinary action. 3. Provide counseling and support through restorative practices with students, parents and staff. 4. Facilitate student support during and following student hospitalization for mental health. 5. Work with outside agencies and other supports to build a model of wraparound support for students in need. 6. Assist building teams following CPI or other crisis involving students to review and reflect on process. 7. Assist in implementation of FBA/BIP for students. 8. Participate in staff development training opportunities related to prevention, intervention, and bullying in order to stay current in the field. 9. Participate in local, state and national professional development associations. 10. Communication and coordinate with other district office departments. 11. The Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE) is a joint agreement between Marquardt School District 15, Queen Bee School District 16, Glen Ellyn School District 41, Lombard Elementary School District 44, Glenbard Township High School District 87, Community Consolidated School District 89 and Community Consolidated School District 93 in DuPage County. Formed in 1960, the cooperative serves 28,000 students in 39 local school buildings. CASE provides varied supports so that each member district can offer a complete range of services to students with special needs between the ages of 3 and 22 years.
CASE works in collaboration with its member districts to provide services for students with autism, multiple disabilities, emotional disabilities, development delays, hearing impairments, visual impairments, other health impairments, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. In addition, our staff provide coaching and training to school staff members and partner with district colleagues to offer a continuum of services that support all students.
CASE Itinerant Services provides Vision, Orientation & Mobility and Hearing services to students in 64 school ...districts in the Chicagoland region. Teachers in these departments provide both direct and consultative services to eligible students.
